Playing with the kit - spring onion cutter

 

We have been playing with all the gadgets and bits of equipment from the Japanese edit for some time and, while we love them all equally, there have been some unexpected favourites that we reach for time and time again. One of these is the spring onion cutter. Of course, we could cut a spring onion with a knife but more often we use this nifty little device. This is particularly true when we are looking for a garnish to sit on noodles or rice, want them to sit in a tortillas or wraps, or want the flavour to run through a dish without any risk of chunks of onions.
