How we are sipping our gin in October

October. Autumn. A month of berry colours and the last of the season's fruit. We have found an interesting way of making sure that our gin and tonic is one of our five a day. Redcurrant syrup. The plus side is that it has a beautifully sharp, fruity tang. The negative is that it does make your drink look like the mouthwash from the dentist or like some low grade lurid cocktail. Whatevs. It tastes delicious.

We picked up the syrup from Brambletye Fruit Farm by way of a branch of Food Assembly, our latest shopping addiction. More on this to come.
