We are not sure that there is anything particularly Japanese about hot buttered toast, but when we found these, we couldn't believe we hadn't seen a butter knife like them before. Butter that is too hard to spread is an age old problem and usually ends up with torn toast or honking great slabs of butter. Not anymore. The angled holes on this knife will grate even the hardest of butter pats ensuring an even distribution of butter that will melt in seconds.
"The arguments over who forgot to leave the butter out are now over. My toast will always be hot, buttered and intact, and my crumpets evenly slathered."
