Netherton Foundry - cast iron garden hob and slow cooker
This variant is currently sold out
Outdoor cooking doesn't have to mean BBQ-ing. Get your hands on this outdoor garden hob, fill the pan with charcoal and get cooking. Either cook anything you might normally throw on to a BBQ direct on the grid, or fill the pan with a lamb tagine, slow-cooked beef, or coq au vin and, in 3 to 4 hours, it will be ready to eat. The charcoal keeps burning ensuring it stays warm for another few hours. We kid you not, when we say this will revolutionise your outdoor eating!
"Is there anything better than putting something on to cook at lunchtime and having a piping hot dish ready to be eaten for tea? Particularly when you have been toiling in the fresh air and have earned a good feed. This piece of kit is a lifesaver for those too lazy to BBQ and the pot is big enough to feed at least six hungry campers."
"I have always loved the idea of slow cooking food outside. Previously I have had a foray into cooking hunks of meat on my Webber and, while this is absolutely fantastic, you can't cook stew-type dishes on there. In comes the slow cooker, these are fantastic to cook. This is a perfect self contained unit and absolutely ideal for anything from family camping weekends to picnic sessions in a park. We always have ours in the back of the van to whip at any impromptu cooking sessions."
Grab either just the cast iron garden hob and cook straight on to the griddle, or buy the hob and the slow cooking pot together.
The slow cooker is pre-seasoned with flax oil to give a natural non-stick finish. It is also suitable for use on camping stoves and open fires, and can also be used on range stoves, electric, gas, ceramic, halogen and induction hobs.
The charcoal bowl is cast iron with British oak legs and is topped with a cast iron cooking grid. The cast iron slow cooking bowl has a 4 litre capacity and comes pre-seasoned. The lid has a knob handmade from British oak.
Based in Shropshire, Netherton Foundry produces traditional spun iron cookware, from woks to frying pans to slow cookers. Materials are sourced locally and the kitchenware produced by skilled craftsmen. In short, our kind of company.
